Well, here in Mississippi, our cool Spring breezes have come and gone and now Summer is nigh upon us. It has been rapidly heating up and with it so have our crews turned up the heat in the fields. This year we are aiming to plant 960 acres of cropland here at Tanner Farms. It has been a significant increase in acreage and we are hopeful we will meet our goals. Dad and the crew have been arduously laboring to get all of this in and we are down to the final 300 acres and it’s mid-May. THey have planted from sunup to sundown and all through the night several nights. We were beginners last year with our cotton crop. So, now that we have grown cotton one whole time :), we increased our acreage by 500%.  In 2017 planting season, we grew

We were satisfied with our outcome last year and the price of cotton has gone up from last year’s rate so we increase our acreage from 150 acres to 800.
